RONSON Gears has invested in a new gear shaping machine, the Fellows FS630-200 CNC Hydrostroke Internal Gear Shaper.
Ronson Gears says the Fellows FS630-200 CNC Hydrostroke Internal Gear Shaper can cut internal gears up to 650mm in diameter, external gears to 635mm diameter with up to 200mm face width.According to Ronson Gears, the hydrostroke system offers rapid stroking return rations up to 4:1 for optimum production and efficiency.
The company claims the system’s rigid construction and hydromechanical stroking allows cutting forces concentric to the cutter spindle, resulting in minimum power loss and optimum cutting stroke accuracy.
The FS630-200 CNC Hydrostroke Internal Gear Shaper is combined with a Siemens 840D CNC system.Ronson says the new technology can produce gears with better profile accuracy and surface finishes compared to older shaping machines which lead to a longer gear life.The hydrostroke system is suited to all batch sizes and work pieces can be loaded manually or with flexible automation systems.
