admin Pennine Automation is to expand its drives and CNC repairs operations.
Pennine’s Fanuc spares and repair centre has invested in test facilities covering: older Fanuc CNC controls, 3,6, 0A, 0B, 0C, 10, 11 and 15; robot controls; and newer models 18, 210i and R-J2.
Also test and repairs for Fanuc drives from DC versions up to the latest Alpha variants.
Pennine has for some time provided cost effective spares both new and second user, from a wide range of manufacturers including Fanuc.
Repair and testing is always required both to fix directly customers’ equipment and to enhance and sustain exchange parts.
Neil Ginley (Pennine Automation) explains: The number of versions of, for example, Fanuc controls and drives (see above), present many difficulties whilst practicable simulation, databases and control identification methods assist it is important to verify that the board or subsystem is fully functional”.
“To provide this assurance we at Pennine have invested in a full suite of operating test rigs which run as complete systems within themselves, both direct and including CNC, drives and servo motors”.
“This arrangement allows full run-off verification and operation”.
