This new family of routers is a true heavyweight with the 59in x 96in travel unit weighing in at over 6000 lb.

These new CNC routers feature welded and stress relieved all steel construction plus THK rails, bearings and ball screws on all three axes to guarantee minimal maintenance and maximum machine performance and longevity.

They feature brushless closed loop servomotors for optimal performance, speed and accuracy.

These routers also feature infinite lock ahead high speed contouring to take advantage of the brushless servo capabilities.

This new router series comes standard with a heavy T-slot table and is also available with a vacuum table option that still allows the use of the T-slots.

This provides the flexibility of both clamping and vacuum hold down as the situation might require.

The Premium Class line of CNC Routers is ideal for the heaviest and most demanding production routing of plastics, wood, aluminum, composites, etc,.

Beyond the heavy-duty frame and design, the new Premium Class line comes standard with Techno’s easy to use Windows PC based interface for communicating with any CAD/CAM or sign making software that outputs industry standard GCODE.

Most major functions are just one-click away with the Techno CNC Interface, including: a built-in GCODE editor, toolpath preview, production logging and reporting and free lifetime software updates via the Internet to name a few.

We often talk about horsepower, 0-to-60 times and the graceful curve of a hood. It’s time now to pay homage to what makes it all possible, the five-axis body mill.

The first numerical controlled (NC) machines were built in the 1940s and 50s and based on existing tools modified with motors that moved the controls to follow points fed into the system on paper tape. These early servomechanisms were rapidly augmented with analog and digital computers, creating modern computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine tools that have revolutionized the design process.

In the last decade, CNC has evolved into a magnificent confluence of speed and accuracy. Used to be (in the 90s) if you wanted a surface with complex curves, you had to model it in clay, scan it into a server and assign approximate mathematics, which would then be transferred to approximate soft tools and then eventually approximate hard tools.

Nowadays, you model a piece in I-DEAS or Catia, export it to MasterCAM, which automatically builds a three-dimensional cut path, which is uploaded to the five axis CNC and in a matter of minutes or hours you have a mathematically accurate 3D representation of whatever you just imagined at a workstation. And that’s just the tiny stuff. We’re not even talking about stereolithography via UV-cured immersed resin baths or printed infrared polymer powder. We’ve come a long way baby.

Weeke has announced the release of its new solution for CNC routing with its new Vantech series.

As experts in high-quality routers, the company aims to deliver systems with high-end production capacities for affordable prices, delivering the same quality CNC routing at entry level as it does higher up the scale.

It stated that the Vantech provides an “extremely durable foundation” to counteract the high-speed capabilities of the CNC machine’s process, ensuring it will last much longer than many other competitors.
